whoa definitely upgrade your RAM to at least 1GB. 512 is quite low these days.

Would grab a new card as well. I'm guessing it's PCI? I'd check, but I'm lazy

The game, and just about everything else too would smoother with more RAM. 1 gigabyte should be considered a minimum at the moment.

Having 2 GB pretty much eliminates any stuttering caused by insufficient RAM but it may not be a big improvement over 1 GB unless you often have dozens of browser tabs, IM windows and other stuff open while playing Guild Wars.

I'd go with 2gigs, just to future proof your Pc a little. May as well do it now while you're on the up, eh?

I run my system with the following, without going into too much detail:

p4 3gig HT
1 gig RAM corsair dual channel
9800xt (agp)

My xt took a hit from a power surge a few months back, and as a result I have to under-clock quite drastically to keep it stable.. I still run GWs on absolute high with 25-50 fps. (dips low in massive crowds). Before the failure I had a very stable 40-60 fps. Anything around the power of this card will run GWs high and fine with on current system plus upgraded RAM.

<-- Not lazy
"It is a rebadged (and marginally slower) version of the 6600GT for Medion to sell through ALDI in Europe."(from video card forum Like to say which, but not sure Im allowed) It is a few years old though, so I would upgrade to something better. Not necessarily top of the line new, but something from no more than 18 months ago. Also, 2GB of RAM is almost a must now, get PC 3200 at least, and dont forget to make sure its low latency, preferably 2 or 2.5, if your mobo supports it.
